I have always enjoyed the message taught when I was in town. The people were always receptive of my daughter's kindness to the ushers, office staff and the pastor Gary and his wife. I was saddened when she requested to use one of the many rooms in the church (knowing others had used different rooms at the church for other celebrations) for her twins high school graduation celabration, the office staff told her "that it was not allowed".
But they were kind enought to give her some restaurants information who might be able to help her. WOW!
Over 10 years of paying her tithes (the last 6-7 years while she was on Social Security from her husband who pasted away in 2012 and she was raising 3 three children -- not even working) and giving offerings, (that's not including the 10% $$$$$$$ from her husband's insurance) they refused to assist her? She loves them all just the same and continues to do what the Lord Jesus Christ has instructed her to do from her heart. She truly loves this church. She has NO idea I am writing this and I hope they don't start mis-treating her because I'm writing about my dissappointment. I raised her to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and His LOVE always superceeds anything people may use to stop HIS progress in what appears to be the less fortunate. For those who were a blessing to my child and her family, May the Lord Jesus return to you a hundred fold of ALL you have done are doing and will continue to do to encourage her. She loves you all (even those who have turned her away) very much, it's just in her to give.
This church does a GREAT work in many communities BUT what about their own members who are truly involved with the work of the Lord?
We really should " Do unto others the way we want others to do unto us".
The Lord is not short concerning His word, "we all reap what we sow".
Hopefully with the new young pastor and his wife coming in ,,,,they will take care of the members of the body at home in acton first.
In ending, does this church believe in speaking in tongue as the scriptures says? Or did they tear that part out of the Bible and say it's not necessary?
Cause I never recall them saying anything about the evidence of speaking in a heavenly or an unknown tongue that the Bible speaks about. Just wondering. Maybe someone can get back to me on that. Thank You ,
    God Bless

  • I never leave this church overwhelmed or wondering what the message was intended. Pastor Gary grabs your attention, and delivers a string message!

  • I very welcoming restoration church. It's rather large but tries it's best to be inclusive and small group aimed. I grew up down the street from this church and have watched it grow from 12 people to 5000+ attendees in the past 30+ years. The lively contemporary service is inspiring and humble.

The best feature of this church is it's engagement of all ages of attenders. Every service they offer people to go to "The Porch" area to ask questions and seek guidance of trained pastor volunteers. Every age group has a place to worship and engage within the community. The children's program is amazing! They offer babysitting for infants and toddlers that don't go to a service.

If you go to the website you can learn about all the small groups that The Creek offers. They are tailored for certain needs and age groups. They offer marriage classes for groups and individuals.

  • Wonderful explanation of what making oaths is about in our living a life of truth with love. Jesus enables us as forgiven people to overcome the world of lies and to be people of light. This is a church where lives are restored and people are real.
