  My brother in law passed away in 2015 and at the end of the service the hurst would not start. Are you kidding..everyone was standing around shaking their heads. They did not offer an apology to my sister for the embarrassment. What a bad business

  To the team and members of Lavena and Summers funeral home. We the family of Alonzo James want to express our thanks and appreciation for your professionalism and detailed service shown us. From the initial conversation with Emanuel, to the staff at the church service, to the grave site. It was flawless! Everything was on point and in order. We didn't have to think of anything. It was as if Emanuel and staff was reading our minds. They put in the time and effort to assure we grieved properly. Praise God our father is able to Rest In Peace as he waits for the return of our Lord and a Savior Jesus. We want to encourage others who will be faced with a difficult situation to seek the staff at Lavena's. We believe Emanuel and staff will take excellent care of your loved one. May God in heaven continue to bless this company to be a blessing to others.

  The entire staff and service was well done and very proffessional. I cant thank Miss Stephanie and her staff enough for their attentiveness and kindness shown my family in our time of need. Forever grateful

  Their audio system is horrible and they made the funeral stop being about the one that died and made it all about advertising for their services and religion when it should be about the deceased.
